Wh have a change in venue for Messy Church, now meeting each month at celtic rose centre (Corner of East Hill and Guildford Road) Colchester.

Last Sunday our theme was 'Preparation to Mothers day' and we took as our story, Jesus lost in Jerusalem. Craft activities included preparing apple crumble, potting bulbs for the summer, making cards for Mothers day and construction activity.

Next Messy Church will be on April 17th

Barn Church

Barn Church is a youth-centered group that is
meeting every other week. As the young people lead their peers in Bible discussions and pray with each other, we hope they will begin understanding more and more what it means to be a Christ follower as a young adult.






Each evening is started with a game of some sort. Here they are playing a sort of "table football" where the only way to move the ping-pong ball is to blow it across the table.





The most important part of Barn Church is looking into the Bible. Many questions are asked, and it's exciting to see the rich answers found to life's difficulties in God's word.

Christmas Carol Service 2010

In these past few weeks, each service has started by lighting the advent candle(s). We celebrate advent as a reminder of the birth of our Saviour, Jesus, 2000 years ago in Bethlehem. We also light them as a reminder of our own waiting for Jesus' second coming.

After quite a bit of snow last Sunday...

... it was amazing to watch the Arts Centre fill up with people ready to worship!

Nothing warms up the soul like a little quiz to start the service off. :)

All ages enjoyed the drama performance put on by the international students.

Evening: Hope in Colchester will be assisting shoppers with Present Wrapping, giving away refreshments and singing carols. Would you like to be involved? Email back and we can give you the information!!

Friday 24th December, Christmas Eve: 3 - 4pm Colchester Arts Centre, Christmas Eve family worship event followed by the movie “Nativity” at the Arts Centre (PG), 5-6.40pm suitable for people over the age of 9

Visit last week by Peter and Marsha Farmer and children, Joshua( 4) , Nyla (3) and Israel (2) from Mission Britain www.missionbritain.co.uk
Peter led a 3 day training process entitled Simply Multiply: looking at what it means to be blessed, fruitful and multiply. This was a course for those who have started, or want to start an organic church in their home, work or leisure.
DNA was joined by Kingsland Stanway for this event.
